What we store in your browser and why.

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies BunnyNotes uses and the choices you have. By continuing to use the service you consent to our use of essential cookies.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as your login session or language preference. Local storage is a similar browser technology that stores data locally on your device without an expiry date.
These cookies are required for BunnyNotes to function. They cannot be disabled.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| authjs.session-token | Keeps you signed in between page loads. Contains an encrypted session reference — no personal data. | HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax | 30 days (or until sign-out) |
| authjs.csrf-token | Protects sign-in and sign-out requests against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks. | Cookie | Session |
These are stored in browser localStorage — local to your device only, not sent to our servers.

BunnyNotes does not currently use any analytics cookies or tracking scripts. If we introduce analytics in future we will update this policy, seek your consent where required, and provide a clear opt-out.
When you sign in via Google or GitHub those providers may set their own cookies during the OAuth flow. BunnyNotes has no control over these cookies. Please consult Google's and GitHub's privacy policies for details.
You can control cookies through your browser settings:
Disabling the essential session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in.
If we make material changes to how we use cookies we will update this page and notify you via an in-app banner at least 14 days in advance.
